As someone who’s been obsessed with Dracula and all it’s lore for forever, I HATE what they did to my man. The dude they chose to portray him as well as the costume they made looks nothing like the classic 1931 portrayal or the book description. Not to mention, it’s just really obvious they didn’t research the book or movies really at all. Almost every single bar was about basic pop culture references or historical vlad the impaler info. I’m pretty sure the only historical reference about Dracula or it’s creation, influence, the author (bram stoker), the PLOT OF THE DAMN BOOK, etc. was the Nosferatu line and the „Renfield call a doctor. Not Seward.“ and one of those was literally just him name dropping two characters 😭. Makes me so upset dude

I think when they end a battle with one character having a strong ending they might be trying to give a sense of balance for some while making that character out to be the winner. Godzilla has more material and yes some of it is cheese but the idea of a giant monkey with no powers that people keep hyping (and sometimes just because of a feeling that he's the American kaiju) measures up to Godzilla is plain ridiculous. Godzilla has the bigger background, has more raw physical and firepower, history, human message and moral story, a bigger presence in more mediums doesn't have to somehow rely on this tired old revisiting to the india jones like trope list of conflicts with natives and jungles (stomping around like old european exporers out to discover things that have already been discovered and blow away all the native life like hunters out on safari! Or try and profit off them like the xeno's in Aliens no matter how many people get smoked! Its no wonder some people cheer when the humans get wrecked!). Sure, we keep sometimes revisitng the original nuclear and ww2 themes with Godzilla but those messages still apply and it's not like there aren't other plots unlike every freaking remake of Batman crying over his dead parents over and over! So in the end they let Godzilla come out strong and wreck Kong but it feels like they gave it to kong in the end. But come on you guys.. We know who the REAL KIng is. Better a King playing it safe with a rubber than a clown in a monkey suit with no bawlz and never gets the girl.
